Creative Stitched Collage with Kay Leech

Take some pieces of your favourite material - some thread, bits and pieces, and spend a day with Kay creating some small stitched collages using paper and material, embellished with treasured or found objects, buttons  or beads.  You can use hand or machine stitch - or a combination of the two.  A couple of sewing machines will be available for you to use.  However, if you prefer machine stitching you might like to bring your own machine too (the course may be up some stairs)

Dates for this course - see the table below to book:

  Thursday 18 April 2024

Typically this course runs with 8  to 9 students. Suitable for all abilities inc. beginners.

Please bring : Please bring a basic sewing kit, photographs or images to inspire your work, together with any materials, embellishments and complimentary threads that you want to incorporate.  There will also be a selection of additional scraps of material, papers, hand-stitching threads, interesting threads for couching, buttons and beads that you can use to supplement what you bring.

If you want to incorporate a lot of machine stitch then bring a sewing machine in good working order that you know how to use together with appropriate threads.  There will be two sewing machines available to use, together with a limited range of machine threads.
