 A lovely day with Kay being guided through the process pf creating using paint, then print, and stitch. Working in mixed media you will create a picture based on flowers, you can bring your own image or use one of the ones provided for inspiration.  

You will paint the background directly onto calico and then add layers with simple stencils and print blocks that you have created.  Finally you will add stitch which can be machine and or hand embroidery and embellish with beads and buttons.

A fascinating day with Marian learning how to create your own Botanical contact prints with real leaves on fabric and paper, printing your own unique silk scarf and paper prints.

Join Marian for a day of botanical discovery and create a beautiful, printed silk scarf using fresh leaves, flowers and natural dyes. You will learn all about the printing process involved, how to prepare fabrics for dyeing with vegetables and flowers and how to choose the leaves that will give good prints.  And you will prepare some paper prints which you can finish at home.
