Over the day you will learn how to make your own Felt from scratch in the shape of holly leaves or another festive outline. Marieke will show you how best to use the wool fibres she provides, and you can select from a vast colour range, along with many inclusions of wools, fibres, silks and other special threads to create substantial felt leaves to fit in your own festive colour palette. You can also make berries and other brightly coloured 'rolls' and use some pretty braids to join everything together.

About the Artist
Marieke is a talented and largely self-taught felt artist who happened upon the history of felt and felting whilst examining the use of wool in sustainable living and her environment workshops. She loves the fact that many fleeces now sadly discarded by farmers can be reworked through felting into something equally beautiful and useful that will last for many years, so creating a further positive impact locally.
With roots in both Holland and Wales, Marieke now lives in the Eden Valley and runs workshops in textiles, the environment and sustainability, taking inspiration from her beautiful Morland village in the Eden Valley.
