Propagation for the Terrified ~ making plants for free'  with Cumbrian based lecturer, garden designer & plants woman, Shelagh Todd.

The workshop is designed to help dispel the mystique that often surrounds plant propagation.

During the workshop Shelagh will

                 -      Explain some of the terminology used in plant propagation

-         Show you some of the essential tools & equipment needed for successful plant propagation. You may be surprised that it doesn’t need  lots of expensive equipment to successfully propagate plants

-         Demonstrate and explain how to successfully propagate plants from seed eg vegetables, glasshouse crops , annuals and  perennials.

-         Cuttings are easy to take from so many plants. Shelagh will demonstrate how to take different types of cuttings from indoor houseplant and a variety of plants from your garden.

-         There is no easier way of propagating than from a method called division. This technique is mainly used for herbaceous perennials & a large range of house plants. You will be amazed at how easy it is!

-          Plant propagation is a lot of fun & the end product is lots of free plants.

Shelagh is widely known and highly respected throughout Cumbria's gardening fraternity.
