Upcycling Furniture & Painting Techniques with Sonja Tileard of 'White & Green'

Learn the various 'no-fuss' Furniture Painting effects and stencils and up-cycle, transform your favourite item of furniture on this one day workshop with Sonja Tileard  (Annie Sloane Chalk Paint trained)

During this practical day course, under Sonja's guidance the workshop will start by working on simple boards learning the various techniques of chalk paint effects, including stencils distressing and waxing techniques that will be explained, shown and practiced.  Once the various paint finishes have been covered (Sonja has completed several Annie Sloane and similar courses) students can then work on their own items, perhaps a stool, a chair, frame or small table. Usually we say something you can carry along the road. If you wish to bring something larger it's fine to drop it off in the driveway on your way to the car park, though please do bear in mind it's possible you may not finish the item in the day. If you use an awful lot of paint, there may be a small charge.  Sonja also brings a variety of stencils etc with her - or bring your own.  The brilliant thing about Chalk Paint is you don't need to do much before painting- no sanding or preparation - all painting, creating and transforming.

Kindly note there may be a materials charge payable directly to the tutor on the day if you paint a very large item. Please check first regarding space in the studio. Typically this course runs with 7 students. Suitable for beginners.

Please bring:  A shirt or pinny to protect your clothing,  some disposable gloves if you like them well fitting- and your furniture as above.
