A lovely day with Cumbria's Willow master Phil Bradley creating life size Sculptures : Sheep, Hares, Hens & Cockerels or a small Deer

We are very happy that Phil runs several courses here at Greystoke- his days are always popular, inspirational and relaxing. People find it hard to believe that, by the end the day, they will be taking away their very own willow creation. He has been taking these lovely classes at Greystoke since 2005 and they continue to be some of our favourites. These sculptures are suitable for both indoors and out, even if you have had no experience in Willow work, Phil will guide you expertly and patiently through the day. By the end of the workshop you will have created something quite unique to adorn home or garden.

** for the larger Willow sheep, the course fee is £90.  We will contact you about arranging payment for this additional sum , thank you.

Please bring:All materials will be provided by the tutor for your Quirky Willow day. Phil brings his own special home grown Cumbrian willow that is tended with love, then harvested, sorted and carefully stored by Phil before soaking again a week before the course. Most importantly, Phil’s willow is organic (some people suffer skin rashes from working with sprayed commercially grown willow) Phil often has spare willow available for sale at the end of the class - please remember to bring extra cash if it’s likely that you’ll wish to buy more to take home with you.

About the Artist   When not teaching, creating, demonstrating or weaving baskets, Phil manages and harvests his own organic willow beds near Cockermouth. In order to protect the creative process & copyright of the pieces you will be making on the Willow weaving and Wire sculpture workshop days we kindly request that students do not take videos or systematically photograph the different stages during the day. Thank you for your understanding and help to preserve the originality of our tutor’s designs.
