'The Crafty Corvid!' in Mosaics , with Helen Clues
Spend a lovely and inspiring day with Helen creating some beautiful mosaic pieces in creams and whites, using a combination of vintage broken crockery (known as 'picassiette' in the trade) , coloured glass and ceramic tiles.
Working with negative shapes and the wonderful media of mosaic we will use vintage recycled china and traditional mosaic materials to create indoor mosaic panels depicting clear and striking designs using birds and trees as our inspiration. No drawing skills are required for this workshop.
You will complete one mosaic panel during the day and can choose to work on a circular or square base. You will learn the direct method of making mosaics and your piece will be fully finished when you leave. We will focus on cutting and placing the tesserae to create the effective results. Suitable for beginners and experienced students.
